July 7, 2006, Newsletter Issue #23: Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement

Tip of the Week

"The Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement started 47 years ago in Sri Lanka and has become one of the largest participatory organizations in the regions dedicated to bringing peace, building communities, and establishing a certain quality of life. In the tsunami disaster in Southern Asia, Sarvodaya has pledged to take in and provide for all children aged 11 and below who have been orphaned, and to care for all women and girls below the age of 19.
