"Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) delivers lifesaving aid in emergencies. In the tsunami-devastated countries of Southern Asia, the IRC is providing essential medicines, clinical supplies, and hygiene kits to help prevent the outbreak of disease. The IRC will also distribute shelter materials, blankets, water containers, and other items being airlifted into Indonesia.
