May 19, 2006, Newsletter Issue #16: Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)

Tip of the Week

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) was established in 1956 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide humanitarian relief and welfare. In 1998 alone, ADRA assisted more than 18 million people with more than $133 million in aid. ADRA is currently distributing 30,000 pounds of medical and water purification supplies that were airlifted to Sri Lanka and is urgently seeking donations to fund further relief efforts in the areas devastated by the tsunamis in Southern Asia.
